  • New Management quite often required to bring in the PE way of thinking. Quite often the incumbent CFO must be replaced by an experienced "change catalyst" profile CFO. We provide that CFO.
  • The incumbent CEO with the commercial experience is struggling for numbers to drive the business and understand the strengths weaknesses risks and opportunities of the business. Also spending too little time in the market talking to customers. We tackle the numbers and SWOT analysis and let the CEO tackle the customers and market.
  • Due dilligence supporting purchase transaction high level or anecdotal due to non-availability of key analysis creating critical issues for investment and base case assumptions. We tackle this right away.
  • Finance organisation not involved in driving business and fully occupied with closing the books i.e. focused on what has already happened and cannot be changed! Quite often books closed only once a year for statutory accounts purposes. None or very little monthly closing and accruals only done at year end thus ensuring last minuute „surprises“. None or little management reporting done. Changing this is our daily bread !.
  • Key skill sets missing to support the business or inform the stakeholders in an appropriate or timely fashion. Fixing this is one of our key strengths, and we do it very quickly.
  • Little analysis as to the key business drivers and where money is being made and lost. Finance totally detached from the market and unable to verify forecasts from sales and marketing or redirect those resources to more profitable areas („low hanging fruit“). Giving Finance a strategic perspective is a key objective of ours.
  • No focus on liquidity optimisation through intensive Woking Capital reduction programs or better analysis of Capital Expenditure to enable prioritisation of ROI.
